Company
founder and President Davis Yung has spent over 15 years in the
produce industry, with proven results in Sales and Marketing, New
Business Development, Purchasing, Global Sourcing, Customer
Relations, Transportation, Corporate Development and General
Consulting. Davis
knows first hand how to maximize profits all along the supply
chain, by minimizing waste and inefficiency, and by creating
profitable collaborations among Fresh Direct's suppliers and
retail customers.

Davis's
approach to business is hands-on. No stranger to the loading docks
and coolers, he stays heavily involved in the day-to-day business
of produce. In addition to maintaining contact with buyers and
sellers, Davis
makes sure that Fresh Direct is constantly improving. "I am a
believer," he says, "in the Pursuit of Excellence." Davis holds a Bachelor's degree in Business
Administration from Simon
Fraser University, an MBA from
Queen's University, and a Certified Management Accountant
designation.
When time allows, Davis
travels extensively to increase his knowledge of the world's
produce markets. "It is our industry's job to increase the
consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables. It's a good cause, and
I'm happy to be part of it."
